In order to use administrative commands (e.g. the Cheat-Commands) you can either enter the server-password or add Steam IDs to the AllowedCheaterSteamIDs.txt
.
If you wish to authenticate each time you want to use commands you can use the EnableCheats <ServerAdminPassword> command from console. Please see the wiki for more information on console commands and their usage: https://ark.gamepedia.com/Console_Commands
You can also create a text file for recurring admins. Create the file \ShooterGame\Saved\AllowedCheaterSteamIDs.txt
(or open the file via the Configuration Files tab in TCAdmin). Each line of the file represents one player who is recognized as admin. So, if your file was to contain this text:
76561197995589012
76561197995589013
It would mean that the Users with the SteamID’s 76561197995589012 and 76561197995589013 are admins.
If you’re unsure what the SteamID of the person you’re trying to add is, simply use cheat ListPlayers
to display a list of all online players and their SteamID’s.
Alternatively. go to steamid.co. You’ll be able to enter the Steam name of the person you’re looking for there. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to see their information.
The ID you’re looking for looks like this: 76561197995589012
It’s important to use an ID in the same format as above, called Steam ID 64, and not one of the other ID’s. If you need bulk conversion, simply click on the User-List tab on the site and you’ll be able to provide a list of names.
To revoke their admin-privileges simply remove their Steam ID from the file and restart your server.
