Admin Password Setup

Your admin password is the RCON password input during ordering. If you would like to change it follow these steps. If not, skip to Activating the Console.

1. Login to your game control panel, then click Commandline Manager on the left.
2. Click "New" if you have not already specified a commandline.
3. Select the checkbox next to RCON password and set you RCON password. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
4. Click "Select" to the right of the commandline to activate it.
5. Finally, return to the main panel and Restart the server to apply these changes.

Activating the Console

With your RCON password set, it’s time to activate the in-game console. The option is located in the settings of ARK: SA.

1. While in the pause or main menu of ARK: SA, click Settings.
   
2. Navigate to Advanced, then locate and enable the Console Access option.
   
3. Click Save at the bottom of your screen.

Becoming Admin

1. Launch ARK: Survival Ascended and join your dedicated server.
2. On PC, press tilde ~ to open the Console Command bar. On Xbox, press LB + RB + 'Y' + 'X'. On PS5, press L1 + R1 + 'Triangle' + 'Square'. You can also press the left menu/options button to open the Console Command UI (it should show the button icon on the bottom left of your screen while paused.)

2. Enter setcheatplayer true

When attempting to use commands in-game, some of them require the “cheat” prefix before it works. For example, cheat GiveCreativeMode is the correct usage compared to GiveCreativeMode commonly used in singleplayer.

Note: We have a built-in RCON client in the Current Activity & Stats tab of the game panel. When using commands outside the game via RCON the "cheat" prefix is not required.
